Atlanta based developer, Solomon Development Services, announced recently the opening of Dogwood Forest of Acworth, a $23 million, three-story, 93-unit assisted living and memory care development located in the Cobb County city of Acworth, Ga.
The facility was a long time vision Dan Needle of Dan Needle Development and Al Holbrook’s, founder and principal for Solomon Development Services. “We first envisioned a community at this location in Acworth in 2006,” said Holbrook. We knew the community of Acworth needed a senior living option that had an exciting environment built and designed with all of the details today’s older adults are looking for. We are very pleased that our vision became a reality, Holbrook added.
The facility located at 4500 South Main Acworth, Ga. sits at the beginning of the historic Acworth district. It is the first assisted living facility within Acworth city limits. The community has a an expansive front porch, open living room space with aquarium with multiple flat screens, separate bistro with cappuccino maker with flat screen tv courtyard with fountain and herb garden, theater room, full salon, multiple screened-in porches and sun-rooms.
The community opened its doors officially on July 14. Construction began on the project in February of 2013. Trinity Lifestyles Management, metro Atlanta based assisted living operators an Solomon affiliate, will manage the property under its Dogwood Forest branding. The community joins a family of seven other Dogwood Forest communities across metro Atlanta.
