Solomon Development Services on January 14 held the official groundbreaking for Dogwood Forest of Grayson, along with Grayson City officials and other development and management partners. Solomon Development Services along with partners Trinity Life, Grayson’s city mayor, and Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce gathered at the community site at 1792 Grayson Highway for the ceremonial dig and spoke about the new community’s positive impact on the area.
Dogwood Forest of Grayson will specialize in assisted living, memory care and adult day services. The community will have 99 units composed of 74 assisted living units and 25 memory care units. Available amenities will include a theatre, wellness center, community gardens, outdoor gaming courts, bistros, walking trails, and other features. Consistent with the Dogwood Forest brand’s focus on wellness, the Grayson community will be designed with several wellness protocols including UV lighting in the HVAC system to kill viruses as well as a negative ion system to kill odor causing bacteria and to lift and enhance moods.
The $26 million, 101,000-square-foot community will be the eighth to join the Dogwood Forest brand’s portfolio. Solomon Development Services will lead the project as its developer. CDL partners will serve as the project’s designer and architect. Choate construction will serve as contractor. The community is scheduled to open spring 2017.
